Diamond Paintings

I also used to be able to do cross-stitching, I loved it. I completed a fair few in my time. But when arthritis took over, my fingers became too painful to hold the small needle and the constant weaving in and out of the holes on the material (aida). I took up colouring for a while, but again, my arthritis made that nigh on impossible as well, kept going out of the lines.  I seen so many people do these diamond paintings and I wondered if it was something that I could do, or would I have the same trouble.

Turns out that I could do it quite well. I have since completed four. My first one I will not show off as it was just a really cheap one to see if I could do it and it doesn't have the best definition but it was off a group of sloths. I might try and get a better one to do in time. Basically this page is going to showcase completed diamond paintings. To answer any possible question about these, most of them came from Wish believe it or not and a few have come from a new place that I have found - their web address is https://uk.diamondpaintinggifts.com/ They're based in China, but their delivery time is pretty awesome to say the least! I recommend them. I have bought a few 30x30cm diamond paintings from as little as £5 each, but the delivery is a little expensive, but I suppose they have to cover the shipping costs and knowing how much I can be charged to ship knitted toys overseas, then I fully appreciate their shipping costs.

Anyway, let's get some of these shown off!

The first official one that I did after my trial sloths, was this stunning bright coloured kitty with butterfly at its nose. This one came from Amazon. Then I completed the cub, in hues of blues and whites, and it was really effective I thought. Again this was from Amazon and it came as a pack of two along with the bright kitty.  My final one that I have completed, is this Rangers Football Club logo, I made it for my brother for his Christmas. It has since been framed and all ready to be wrapped and sent to him (or more to the point, given to my aunt and uncle to take back home with them to give to him). My brother lives in England and I still live at home in Scotland. The Rangers Logo one came from the website shown above.

Baby Elephant was done for my mum for her Christmas, she loves elephants and if my memory serves me correct, came from the website mentioned.  The flower skull is for my sis in law who loves skulls and was from Amazon, and the sugar skull one was from the website mentioned above I am certain and was done for a friend for Christmas.

LED Crystal Rhinestone 3D tree, shot one with room lights off, shot two with the room lights on. I really love this and will be my Christmas Tree every year now, what with a cat that won't leave my real one alone! *sighs* The Owls was done and given to my aunt for her Christmas, which she loved!

All of the above were a set of 5 Crystal Rhinestone & Diamond keychains, they were given to me as a gift for my 59th birthday recently. I have since completed all of them and I adore them. I completed one a night and it's great for a quick fix without taking weeks to finish a bigger painting, which I am now in the process of! It will be shown off soon.

The last of the panda keychains, Wolf was completed for a friend for her Christmas.
